Neither driver was seriously injured, but both vehicles sustained extensive damage, according to Toms River Police.

A copy of the accident report shows Adan Garcia-Ramirez, 34, Lakewood, allegedly drove through the red light while traveling east on Route 37, while the other driver, Arlene Sauer, 68, of Whiting, was crossing the highway heading north from Fischer Boulevard.

The impact also caused Garcia-Ramirez's vehicle to strike the traffic light on the center grass median.

Garcia-Ramirez sustained a cut to his chin when the vehicle's airbag deployed. Sauer sustained minor lacerations to her left forearm from the shatter of the driver side window. Both drivers refused medical treatment.
