United Way of Ocean County Update

The United Way of Ocean County stopped by to talk about upcoming events with Shawn & Sue

UWOC began in 1969 as an offshoot of Monmouth County United Charities when Ed Moran spearheaded the movement to raise funds for Ocean County residents in need. In October 1975 United Charities began its first workplace campaigns to raise funds through payroll deductions to support local human service agencies in Ocean County. By October 1976 United Charities had incorporated into the United Way of Ocean County.

 

 

The United Way is Hosting their Hearts of Gold Gala 2014. This years event takes place at the Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant Beach on Friday, October 24th. Executive Director Linda Gyimoty talked about the event .....
