Authorites today said that the alleged victim flagged down Lieutenant John Giovanetti at about 2:15 PM near the Forest Resource Education Center on Don Connor Boulevard.

The driver told police that he had driven three men from Manhattan and was en route to a house on Wilson Boulevard, near Don Connor Boulevard. He reported that one of the riders, using a cell phone, appeared to be arranging a meeting.

Police did not elaborate on the nature of the call, but the driver told investigators that he left the neighborhood without stopping at the house and turned right onto Don Connor Boulevard, in the direction of Bowman Road.

According to the driver, the passengers became agitated, and one drew a gunmetal-colored revolver while yelling. Police suspect that it was loaded.

He told police that he stopped at the Forest Resource Education Center, where they took cash, his cell phone and car keys, throwing the keys into the woods while escaping in a red vehicle that continued toward Bowman.
