Community Medical Center -  RWJ Barnabas Health in Toms River, and Ocean Medical Center - Hackensack Meridian Health in Brick announced this week they will help out federal workers while the government is shut down.

According to WOBM News, Community Medical Center and Ocean Medical Center will waive the co-pay for any federal worker needing medical assistance. RWJ Barnabas and Hackensack Meridian Health announced this week that they will waive co-pays and other costs system-wide for those who are not receiving their paychecks.

Effective immediately, RWJBarnabas Health (RWJBH) has announced that we will waive co-pays, deductibles and additional eligible patient care balances for any furloughed federal employees and their dependents, announced RWJBH Board of Trustees Chair Jack Morris and President and CEO Barry H. Ostrowsky today.
This action applies to all inpatient, outpatient, emergency and ambulatory-based care provided by RWJBarnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest academic health system.

The waiver will end once the government shutdown ends.
