Steven Morgan, 27, of Lakewood, is being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $75,000 cash-only bail. Nidaeya Blount, 22, of Long Branch, was jailed on $15,000 bail with no option for release on payment of 10 percent.

Both are charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, and possession with intent to distribute.

Officers in a joint investigation including Toms River police focused on the black 2003 Nissan Altima containing the pair on Edinburgh Lane in Original Leisure Village at about 6 PM Wednesday.

Police say they spotted six bricks of the narcotic on the floor of the car after it rolled to a stop, then found another 10 bricks hidden behind the glove compartment.

Investigators also impounded the car.
