Two Busted for Heroin in Monmouth’s Ocean Township

A GMC Jimmy idling, then weaving erratcially, through a mall parking lot in Ocean Township Friday leads to heroin possession charges for the driver and his passenger.

Police charged James N. Liu, 20, and James Kirkland, 26, after bringing the SUV to a stop in the Seaview Square lot off Route 66.

Liu was also cited for driving infractions and Kirkland was additionally charged with suboxone possession and obstruction, according to police information.

Both were processed and released to await municipal court hearings.
