Two people are facing multiple charges after Manchester Police say officers actually witnessed them robbing a home on Route 539.

Members of the Narcotics Enforcement Team arrested Edward V. Miller, 38, of Forked River, and Susan Scandiffio-Arp, 49, of Whiting after officers observed the pair acting suspiciously and followed them to the unoccupied home. Police say the pair was found hiding inside; a later search of their vehicle revealed numerous items stolen from the home as well as heroin, oxycodone and hypodermic needles.

Miller is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Ocean County Jail in default of $30,000 bail with no 10% option.

Scandiffio-Arp is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, possession of oxycodone, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the Ocean County Jail in default of $25,000 bail with no 10% option.
