The Food Network's Tom Bury was in Sea Bright on Wednesday to join volunteers in constructing a fence around a beachfront playground built in memory of Anne Marie Murphy, a teacher who was killed during the school shooting in Newtown, Conn.

On Thursday, organizers say the New Jersey native and two members of his crew are scheduled to work with volunteers in the borough of Lake Como to rebuild park benches and picnic tables and refurbish a popular lakeside gazebo.

Bury is partnering with the "Stronger than the Storm" campaign to highlight the state's recovery from Superstorm Sandy.
