Truck Spills Load At George Washington Bridge Toll Plaza

Four lanes at the toll booth of the George Washington Bridge remain closed due to a truck accident late on Monday morning.

The driver of the truck lost control just past the toll plaza according to WABC, dropping his load of steel beams into one of the booths which sustained major damage.

The Port Authority says the four lanes will be closed until at least Tuesday;

One toll collector was hospitalized for severe ringing in his ears caused by the loud clang of the steel bars as they dropped onto the pavement.
