The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office has announced the arrest of the Tri-County bank robbery suspect who was wanted for seven heists. Officials say 30-year-old Steven Wisnowski of Barnegat, NJ was taken into custody Tuesday, January 7th after police allegedly observed him committing his final robbery at the Fulton Bank in Edison, NJ.

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato said an investigation led by members of the Brick Township and Toms River Township Police Departments exposed Wisnowski's identity through the vehicle he used during the holdups.

Wisnowski has been charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Robbery and one count of 3rd Degree Terroristic Threats by the Brick Township Police Department. He faces additional charges for bank robberies in Toms River, Aberdeen, and Edison that began in October of last year. He is in the Middlesex County Jail on more than a million dollars bail.

Local Police Departments in Edison, Aberdeen, Franklin as well as the FBI in Redbank and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office contributed in the investigation.
