A little heads up for drivers in Toms River this weekend.

The ramp from Route 37 westbound to Route 166 southbound will be open from 10:00 pm tonight until 6:00 am tomorrow, according to the NJ DOT.

Two-way traffic on Route 166 will be moved onto the southbound side of the road to allow for curb and signal work and re-construction of the northbound side of the road.

The ramp from Route 166 North to Route 37 East will be closed this weekend so crews can reconstruct it.

DOT offiicials say this weekends work is an effort to pick up the pace on the project a month shy of Memorial Day Weekend.

The contractor is set to close the ramp from Route 166 northbound to Route 37 eastbound this weekend to reconstruct the ramp.

Drivers will instead be allowed to make a right turn onto Route 37 eastbound at the intersection.

Route 37 eastbound to Route 166 northbound detours will be set up by the DOT.

  • Motorists on Route 37 eastbound will be directed onto Route 9/Garden State Parkway southbound.
  • Take Exit 80 and keep right to merge onto Lakehurst Road.
  • Turn left on Highland Parkway and continue to Route 166/Main Street northbound
