Top Marks For Ortley Beach Motel

As families all around the country make those summer travel plans, tripadvisor.com is out with their top hotels for 2012. One Jersey Shore Motel gets high marks.

The Starlight Motel in Ortley Beach makes it to number two on the top ten small hotel & motel list. Hundreds of places were looked at for the survey which combined research with online postings from past guests. TripAdvisor is using this as the first in what will become an annual assessment of the best places around for families. In each category, the Starlight came in on top with all positive reviews.

Site editor Leslie Carlin says the owners receive a special plaque they can hang in their lobby and are eligible to win again next year. Carlin says "there are so many different places out there to stay. What made the Starlight special was it's proximity to area attractions, spacious rooms with efficiencies, the swimming pool and how clean it was. Many of the reviews raved about the service from the staff and the cleanliness of the place."

Carlin explains "the interaction between our staff and the public is very important when we gather information for such a list. Past experiences talked about in a review or message board posting can be a benefit to any business, especially hotels and motels."
