It has really been our privilege as an Association to encourage the best and brightest of our high school seniors through out our county to further their education, since its inception the Mayors’ Scholars program has provided more than six-hundred thousand dollars to graduating seniors. ” ~ Mayor Paul Kennedy

It was the 24th Annual Ocean County Mayors Scholarship Awards. Twenty-five high school seniors (one from each high school and vo-tech site) were awarded one thousand dollar scholarships last week according to Mayors’ Association President, Ocean Gate Mayor Paul Kennedy.

Funding of the scholarships come from proceeds of the Ocean County Mayors’ Association annual golf outing. This year, the 25th golf outing is scheduled for Thursday, August 25th at Bay Lea golf Course in Toms River.
