MIDDLETOWN — An overturned work van on the Garden State Parkway slowed the end of Tuesday morning's commute.

The blue Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van with "Tony Boloney's" painted on the side flipped on the northbound local lanes near Exit 114 for Red Hill Road in Middletown, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Lawrence Peele.

Peele said the driver, who was the only person on board the bus, was hospitalized for non-life threatening injuries. The cause of the flip remains under investigation.

Tony Boloney's owner Mike Hauke told New Jersey 101.5 the van was taking the ingredients from their famous taco pizza, which sells for $80,  from Atlantic City to Hoboken. Hauke said the vehicle flipped three times, but the driver was OK. About $10,000 worth of toppings, however, was lost, including taco shells, brisket and cheese.

The food made quite a mess inside the van, according to Hauke.

Two lanes were closed for clean up and investigation, which caused a multi-mile delay with rubbernecking in the express lanes.

Taco pizza is only served on Tuesday at the Hoboken location and Hauke said despite the crash it will be available as usual. The pizza has been featured on "Live with Kelly" and Conan O'Brien's show.
