Ah, here we go again. It's always the shortest debate of the year. Once again, the Toms River Parade is on Halloween so that means trick or treating has been moved to Monday, October 30th, 2017.

Toms River is not the only town to make this controversial move. It joins Pine Beach and Beachwood who both have designated the Monday before Halloween as Trick-or-Treating day.

As of now, Beachwood, Toms River, and Pine Beach are the only towns trick or treating on the 30th. JerseyFamilyFun.com reports that most of the other towns in Ocean County will be trick-or-treating on HALLOWEEN, October 31st.

The annual Halloween Parade has been going on since 1919, and it's one of my favorite events to go here in Toms River. The atmosphere is always so lively and everyone loves being there. With that being said, I just hate the fact that trick or treating is the day before, simply, BECAUSE IT'S NOT HALLOWEEN!

Parents... this is the time to see if your kid is going to be an entrepreneur: if they ask to go trick or treating in Toms River on the 30th and go again on HALLOWEEN.
