Toms River Police are hoping you can help them identify a man wanted for an armed robbery he allegedly committed at the Shell Gas Station between Route's 9 and 571 early Thursday.

It was a few strokes after midnight this morning when police say an unknown white male entered the gas station store brandishing a handgun and demanding money from the clerk.

The clerk complied with the suspect's demands and the man then left with an undetermined amount of cash from the register.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, with a reddish beard, wearing a backpack all dark clothing.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Robert O’Neill of the Toms River Police Department 732-349-0150 x 1255 or email roneill@trpolice.org.

The public is reminded that criminal charges are accusations only.  Every criminal defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
