Toms River Police Looking For Auxiliary Police Officers

If you’re interested in public safety or law enforcement and are free eight hours a month, The Toms River Police Department are seeking Auxiliary Police Officers to add to the force.

Auxiliary Police Officers operate within a volunteer branch of the Office of Emergency Management and work with the Toms River Police Department to reduce safety hazards, assist in emergency or disaster situations, as well as other situations outlined by the Chief of Police.

Have a dream to be a cop? If you have the drive and determination, this program is a stepping stone to that dream becoming reality.

These officers are considered the “eyes-and-ears” of the department and aid other officers with various township functions.
