Toms River Memorial Day Weekend Trash & Recycling Schedule
The Holiday weekend is fast approaching and Toms River wants to remind residents the scheduling changes in regards to trash and recycling. In a recent Patch article, Officials laid out the Memorial Day Weekend schedule to make it easier on residents and businesses.
Sanitation collections are postponed one day, with Friday’s sanitation collections picked up on Saturday. Extra recycling pickups which are normally performed on a Friday are canceled for this week only, due to the holiday.
In addition this summer residents on the barrier island, a reminder that "garbage day" will change this week to Monday and Thursday, and recycling day for barrier island residences is now every Friday. Collection days return to the winter schedule Labor Day week.
In addition for Memorial Day, "Town Hall" will be closed and the Township's Department of Public Works will be closed also.
