According to the NJ State Police Facebook site, Angelo Otchy was arrested Tuesday for an incident on the Atlantic City Expressway in Pleasantville City on January 13th.

Police said a female motorist reported that a suspect operating a blue 2013 Hyundai Elantra, pulled up next to her and displayed a badge. The female motorist became fearful and continued driving for four miles until she pulled over at the Pleasantville Toll Plaza, while the suspect continued through the tolls.

According to the State Police post, "through various investigative means, troopers were able to identify Otchy as the suspect. He was arrested at his residence and charged with impersonating a police officer and harassment. He was processed at Atlantic City Expressway Station and released pending a future court date."

Otchy told WOBM News that he became alarmed over the woman's erratic driving. He claimed that she was driving while using a cell phone and used the badge to convince her to hang up the phone.

Officials go on to say that the victim did the right thing.

"If you're unsure about an unmarked police vehicle, drive slow and call 911. If you have to pull over, make sure it is a well-lit and populated area. Stay on the line with the dispatcher, provide as much information as you can, and follow any instructions given."
