If plans filed with the Township of Toms River get approved and come to fruition, Ocean County beer aficionados could be getting a new option right in the heart of our main shopping corridor.

According to our sister station, 105.7 The Hawk, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse has filed papers with the Township that outline plans to construct a location right at the Ocean County Mall on Hooper Avenue.

Not to be confused with the popular warehouse club, BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is a national chain that originally started in California, and has since expanded to nearly 200 restaurants, including just over a dozen on the East Coast, stretching from Virginia to New York.

If the Ocean County Mall location does indeed get approved, it'll be the chain's second location in The Garden State, with an existing restaurant in Teterboro.

What do you think about this plan to add a new brewpub to Hooper Avenue? Comment below and let us know if you'll be partaking of a pint or two!
