Toms River Board Of Education Changes Lawyers
For over 20 years, Toms River's Board Of Education was represented by the lawfirm of Gilmore and Monahan. Well, not anymore.
The Patch of Toms River says the "Clean Slate" board members voted 6 - 2 to go with Carlucio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle and Sacks instead. A majority of the board wanted to cut ties with the last leftover from the Mike Ritacco reign.
Members Tom Baxter and Edward Gearity cast votes against the change. Gearity expressed concern that "Unfortunately (Carlucio, Leone, Dimon, Doyle and Sacks) have no experience in the last eight or 10 years as school board attorneys or in special education law," he said according to the Patch of Toms River.
