Toms River Bank Robbery Being Probed

Toms River Police are probing an armed robbery at the Chase Bank on Highland Parkway in the Township.

According to Chief Mike Mastronardy, it happened this afternoon. A white male, about 5'8 with a thin build, wearing a blue mask, entered with a hand gun. He demanded money and fled with cash.

Both Toms River and Lakewood Police are on the lookout for the suspect. Chief Mastronardy, who is getting ready for Election Night as he's running for Sheriff on the Republican ticket, tells us the department will release more information later this evening.
