Toms River Adding Left Turns To Hooper Avenue

The area around the Target/Lowes/Petco shopping center (home of the Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon) is getting an overhaul!

The Ocean County Board of Freeholders have approved a plan to put in a new traffic signal on Hooper Avenue between Ocean Center and the Commons at Hooper.

The plan is for the median to be opened and have a new traffic signal allowing drivers to go left in either direction, as well as allow direct access across Hooper Avenue between the two centers.

The county expects Dewberry Engineers to have a finalized plan by the end of this year, and work to begin by spring of 2018.
