Toddlers hospitalized after mom’s boyfriend beat them, NJ prosecutor says
JERSEY CITY — A man was charged with brutally beating his girlfriend's twin 14-month-old sons in May.
Terrance Pernell, 23, was responsible for the boys care when he assaulted them in their mother's home between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez.
Both boys suffered bruises to their chests and kidneys, lacerations to their lungs, head trauma, broken bones, and bruises. The boys were hospitalized after the incident and have since been released.
