Today Was the First Opening Day Ever at the Original Yankee Stadium

It was opening day today 90 years ago on this day April 18th, 1923, the first game ever played at the original Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 4-to-1 and it was BABE RUTH who hit the stadium's first home run.   

You could buy a scalped ticket for $1.25.  Wow.  Baseball is one of America's favorite past times and all those memories growing up and going to a game.  It just warms my heart, thinking of all the games I went to with Mom and Dad and still this day when I call home, they're watching their Phillies.
