Tick Season Is Here – Look At This Example

If the picture above says anything, it's that tick season is here in Ocean County and we all need to be aware of these little buggers.

The irony is that I just pulled a tick off of my dog this morning. But I didn't even think to check myself. A few moments ago, I saw what you see in the picture.

After frantically going through all three floors of our office, asking if anyone had tweezers, I ended up having to run across the street to 7-11 to get a pair of tick-removal instruments.

After of course stopping to take a picture first, I pulled the pest off and promptly disinfected myself and the tweezers (which, if anyone needs in the future, I have here in my desk).

Of course, it's no joke - with new warnings about tick-borne viruses, now is a better time than ever to tick-proof your yard and be sure to check yourself every time you get back from a wooded area.
