BARNEGAT - A Barnegat woman is under arrest for outstanding warrants however when police came to Joann Landi's home on Deck Street they found her hiding from officers in a bedroom closet hiding under a pile of clothes. It didn't take long for police to place Landi in handcuffs where she also got a charge for resisting arrest for struggling with officers.

JACKSON - A Toms River Township resident leads local and state police on a high-speed pursuit through three towns before he was apprehended last night. Authorities say 19-year-old Kevin Riddle was ordered to pull over for a missing front license plate on I-195. He sped off. Helicopter units were called in to find his black Jeep Cherokee. After several hours, Toms River Police located the abandoned car and with the State Police, arrested Riddle near his home. He's in the jail Ocean County Jail with bail set at $50,000.

TOMS RIVER - Toms River Police are searching for two people who broke into the Number One Chinese restaurant in Ortley Plaza Tuesday, stealing a tip jar and coins from the cash register. It was all captured on survillence video. Chief Mike Mastronardy says the camera shows the two trying to bust open the spirits unlimited store in the same shopping center. Anyone with information should call 732-349-0150.

BRICK - Brick Township's Council has held off on passing an ordinance that would modfiy the Mayor's salary. Reports say the council voted 5 - 2 this week to table the plan that would change the salary to $15,000 a year if the person serving the post has a full time position. It would remain at the current $52,000 a-year if the mayor had no other full time job. The Council plans to make revisions before passing it.

BARNEGAT - A Barnegat man is recovering from a knife wound and his wife is accused of the stabbing. Township police charged 35-year-old Joan Mazella with aggravated assault and weapons counts after the Tuesday night episode inside a house on Stern Court. John Mazella was rushed to Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin with a hand wound. His wife was brought to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

TOMS RIVER- The Republican outsider aiming to be your next US Senator finally gets his petitions. Joseph Rullo tells us that his documents arrived not long after WOBM News began airing details about his failed attempt to obtain them in time for a Tuesday signing event. He says they're available at the Blind Pig Cigar Bar in Beachwood and Lovely Laundries in Lakehurst.

FAIR HAVEN - Fair Haven Mayor Michael Halfacre hands in his resignation Wednesday to take on a state post. Halfacre was nominated Monday as Director of the State Division Of Alcoholic Beverage Control by Governor Chris Christie. He also stepped down from his post as Rumson's Municipal Prosecutor.Council President Jonathan Peters will serve as acting Mayor until the Republican Committee submits the names of three nominees.

TOMS RIVER - Ocean County female probation officers file a formal complaint against a state Superior Family Court judge for allegedly making unwanted sexual advances toward them during a Christmas party last year. Judge Marguis jones has 20 days to file an answer to charges accusing him of inappropriately touching multiple female probation officers and an employee and making sexually suggestive remarks. The State Advisory Committee On Judicial Conduct is handling the investigation and hearing on the matter.
