Three More Nabbed in Ocean County Drug Probes

Suspected drug peddlers from Toms River, Lakewood and Neptune are arrested in simultaneous investigations by Ocean County law enforcement.

The arrests unfolded June 26, according to information from Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato.

Members of the Special Operations Group arrested Lorenzo Qunitero-Sanchez, 27, of Toms River and Jose Quintero-DeJesus, 29, of Lakewood, during a road stop in Waretown.

Authorities say they tried to hide cocaine under the Jeep Grand Cherokee they occupied as officers approached. A search yielded about 42 grams of cocaine valued at about $4,000, a digital scale and $780 cash, investigators say.

On the same day in Brick Township, a pullover on Chambersbridge Road led to the arrest of Jerel E. Williams, 30, of Neptune.

Police say that a search of the Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Williams revealed about 1,150 doses of heroin. Officers seized both SUVs.

Quintero-Sanchez was charged with two related possession counts, hindering his own apprehension and tampering with evidence. Quintero-DeJesus was charged with possession and evidence-tampering. Bail for each was set at $100,000.

Both were also placed on detainers by federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement inspectors.

Williams faces a count of possession with intent to distrbiute more than a half-ounce of heroin. A judge imposed  $125,000 bail.
