Toms River Police are investigating a two car crash that occurred around 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Washington and Gold Street.

Police say 31 year old Christopher Troiano, of Manchester, was heading westbound on Washington Street when the vehicle drifted into the eastbound lanes and struck a 2010 Nissan head-on.

Troiano was transported to Community Medical Center, while his passenger Jason Santiago, 31, was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

49 year old Emma Magierski, of Toms River, was driving the Nissan.  She was transported to Community Medical Center.

The Asbury Park Press reports the at-fault driver may have been under the influence of narcotics at the time of the accident.

Traffic safety Officer Brian Doyle, Officer Adam Koeppen, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
