This Spring, a good chunk of the East Coast is going to be overrun by billions of teenagers.

No, I'm not talking about Spring break - but the return of the "17 Year Cicada".

Any time from about now to late May, the critters, that have been underground since 1996 will emerge, hang around for about 4-6 weeks, make a whole lot of noise, and that will be that until 2030.

The noisy bugs are harmless to humans, but can be a nuisance when you're trying to take a nap, or when they meet your windshield while you're going down the Parkway at 55 miles an hour (because of course none of us would speed, right?).

We'll be keeping an eye out, let us know when you spot the critters in your area!
