We are two weeks away from Christmas and the one thing most of us agree on is that it just doesn’t feel like Christmas. The weather is more suited for shorts than
scarves and most days all you need is a light jacket to walk around.

If you’re a person who needs cold weather to get you in the holiday spirit then you better find another way because there is no indication real winter weather is on the way anytime soon. Temperatures for the remainder of the month are expected to be above normal and the Giants have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl then we do of having a white Christmas.

Not to steal Dan Zarrow’s thunder but one extended forecast I saw is calling for temperatures in the low to mid 50s on Christmas Day with a chance of showers, not snow.

Not that Donald Trump needs to say anything to garner headlines but some think he’s really gone off the deep end with his controversial proposal to bar all Muslims from entering the United States. An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed that 57% of adults disagree with Trump’s proposal while only 25% agree. However among Republicans the results are a bit different with more in favor of his plan than against it and Trump’s poll numbers among GOP voters are soaring.

Meanwhile Britain’s Parliament is considering a debate on whether to ban Trump from entering the country as an on-line petition has garnered nearly 500,000 signatures. The UK has laws against hate speech. Like him or not Trump is not going away anytime soon and is a real dilemma for Republicans who don’t want him to be their candidate next November because it’s looking more and more like he will.
