This time of year, many of us are thinking about things that we're thankful for. One of the smallest things that may get lost in the lists is the word itself, "thanks".

Most of us have had bosses we've enjoyed working with as well as those who made us prefer sticking toothpicks in our eyes. But one thing that's stuck out to me with the best people I've worked with is that they've all taken the time to say "thanks". It's interesting because it wasn't until I had a not so great boss years ago that I really realized how important it was to hear "thanks" and "good job".

So over the next few days as you're thinking about what you've been thankful for this year, take a moment to thank those who have given you a reason to be thankful in the first place. Believe me, they'll notice.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for listening. And thanks for leaving a comment if you feel like joining in on the conversation!
