There are many times during the spring and summer that I find myself at a weekend without any specific plans. Thankfully, there are plenty of places in and near Ocean County to get outdoors and enjoy some fresh air!

    Walking Paths

If you're looking for a place just for a stroll, Brick Reservoir and the Manasquan Reservoir are great options.

With Brick's path just over a mile and a half around, you'll see plenty of people walking their dogs, jogging, or just taking a casual stroll.

    Fun & Games Boardwalks

If you're looking for more to see and do, of course the boardwalks of Seaside Heights, Point Pleasant Beach, and Beach Haven are good choices.

Whenever I have out of town friends come visit, I always take them to one of the boardwalks for the true Jersey Shore experience.

    Quiet Beaches

If you're looking to avoid all of the action of the arcades and restaurants but still enjoy the beach, there are plenty of quiet oceanfront destinations.

Manasquan, Belmar, Sea Girt, and plenty of Long Beach Island beaches are all great choices.
