Rumors and speculation around American Idol have been swirling for months. Now, we know who we'll be seeing on our screens next season.

The rumors of the decimation of the Idol judging panel were mostly correct - Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Nicki Minaj will not be sitting on the stage for the upcoming season. But Keith Urban will be back.

Also coming back, after taking time off, is Jennifer Lopez.

The final judge is where the most speculation was - some reports were saying that Idol alum Jennifer Hudson would be warming one of the seats, but that rumor fizzled in recent weeks.

With today's announcement though, the mystery comes to rest - the final Idol judge will be Harry Connick, Jr.

Honestly, I think that this is a good move - Harry Connick Jr has been a mentor on the show before, he's a smart music guy, and he doesn't bring a reputation of being difficult to work with or an outsized personality to the show. After last season's judging panel drama, I think that this is a great move.

So what do you think, do you like the new-look panel? Comment below and let us know!
