It was the grand opening of the Sandy Castle at Pt. Pleasant Beach yesterday and what an amazing sand castle.  The largest I have ever seen.  It is incredible!

The ribbon cutting took place last night...months and months of sculpting, sculptor Ed Jarrett came to the shore in the hopes to break his sand castle record but unfortunately Sandy Castle #1 didn't break the record.  But, there is hope--Ed is starting to build Castle #2 next to the original Sandy Castle.

Come on out and wish him luck and help raise money for Hometown Heroes. Sandy Castle has already raised at least $20,000 for Hometown Heroes to help fund Superstorm Sandy victims and will continue to raise money.   It's a great way to help Restore the Shore and it's a great way for you to get involved in the community.

If you get a chance go check this castle out...you will be amazed.
