The Philadelphia Auto Show opened over the weekend.  The latest and greatest cars are being shown to thousands of visitors from all over.  Environmental and technological advancements are being displayed.  And for those who want to see how a car feels, there's a whole area for test driving different models.

I attended this big event a few times over the years and have to admit, it's just not my thing.  I think it's because cars aren't my thing.  I treat my wheels like a necessary appliance.  I don't care what it looks like, as long as it safely gets me where I need to go.  It's not that I want to drive around in an ugly jalopy; but what's important to me is functionality over appearance.

But many people put a lot of time and energy into shopping around for the perfect vehicle.  Are you a luxury sedan person?  An outdoorsy all wheel drive type?  Are you (and your kids) all about the minivan?  Is a fast sportscar more your thing?

Are you the owner of a practical no-frills car?  Or does your vehicle have some cool bells and whistles?  Have you had yours for a while?  Or do you turn in your car after a few years?
