The Friends of Island Beach State Park Need Your Help

They need your help this weekend!

Island Beach is amazing in the Summer and throughout the year.  It's a treasure here in Ocean County.  The Friends of Island Beach State Park are looking for help planting dune grass (beach grass).  Every year they ask for volunteers and if you're anything like me, you'll say, I'll help next year.  This is the year!  Keep our Island Beach beautiful by helping plant.  It's a fun activity for the whole family.  Dune grass is planted every year on beaches to protect dunes from storms.

Planting the dunes is taking place this Saturday, March 25th, 2017 beginning at 9:30 am.  CLICK HERE to volunteer your time.  The meeting place is Ocean Bathing Area 1.
