The weather is pretty crummy today. And, unfortunately, it's not looking like it's going to get a whole lot better until late this weekend. So what's the best way to spend these kinds of days?

Two words - pumpkin carving!

Now I know that Halloween is still a month away, and obviously a pumpkin that you carve now won't make it a month before turning into a pile of mush.

But that's not necessarily a bad thing. When your late-September/early-October pumpkin has passed its expiration date, just carve a new one!

It's a great, fun way to get the whole family involved in the spirit of the season, and the perfect way to make the best of some not so ideal weather.

Want to see the pinnacle of pumpkin carving? Well, we have good news on that topic - The Glow: A Jack O' Lantern Experience is only a week away!

Monmouth Park Racetrack is going to be filled with thousands of carved and illuminated pumpkins, and it all starts next weekend and runs every weekend through October.

I'll even let you in on a pro tip - you can win a family 4-pack of tickets! Just click here to get started!
