This tends to be the worst case scenario when it comes to winter storms - the worst of it is right in the middle of the day. Schools let out early, offices close early, and a lot of people are on the roads during the worst of it.

The one good part for a lot of people - by mid afternoon, many will be home and warm with a cup of hot chocolate in front of the TV.

Or, on the other hand, maybe you'll be shoveling for the bulk of the afternoon.

But also, don't forget that there are plenty of people who still have to work on days like today - police, fire, medical professionals, and yes, even radio DJs.
