Youthful antics in the parking lot of the Stafford Township Wal-Mart leaves a 16-year-old boy in critical condition. Police say the teen was with a group of friends Monday when he jumped onto the hood of a vehicle operated by a 17-year-old friend who started to drive. The 16-year-old tried to hold on but fell off the vehicle and sustained major head trauma.

The teen was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center, who notified police about the incident. The teen was later airlifted to a trauma center at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune.

The incident is under investigation by officer Justin Pascale of the traffic safety unit.
