BRICK — A teenager was killed while riding a bicycle on Saturday night.

The 15-year-old boy was riding north on Burnt Tavern Road in Brick, and was struck by a 2017 Subaru Forrester as he crossed Route 70 around 10:45 p.m., according to Brick Police.

The boy struck the windshield of the SUV driven by Kathleen Calabro, 68, of Toms River. Officers from the Brick Police Department, police Emergency Medical Services and MONOC Paramedics could not revive the boy.

Brick Police did not disclose the name of the teen or if charges have been filed against Calabro.

Brick police are encouraging Witnesses to call 732-262-1140 with any information about the incident.
