A 32-year-old teacher from Barnegat can expect to spend five to 10 years in a New Jersey state prison for having sex with a juvenile student. Erin Haskell pleaded guilty today in Ocean County Superior Court in Toms River.

Information from County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato's office indicates that Haskell admitted to one count of second-degree sexual assault. She was arrested last November and remains free on $300,000 cash bail.

Court officials are awaiting the results of a sex-offender evaluation from the Avenel Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center before a sentence is passed.

In addition to the prison term, Haskell will likely be subject to Megan's Law, required to serve lifetime parole supervision, and be barred from contact with the victim under Nicole's Law.
