While we got the heads up from WOBM Meteorologist Dan Zarrow to expect occasional snow showers today, the heavy snow squalls that have passed through Ocean County throughout the day have made for a dicey afternoon and evening.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I wouldn't want to be a meteorologist. When the forecast goes exactly as you predict, nobody really notices or makes a point to thank you. But when a forecast "busts", people are calling for your head.
Once again we're sitting here enjoying an unseasonably warm day, with thermometers sneaking well into the 60s in some parts of Ocean County, and we're about to get a rude reminder that it is indeed still winter.

Halloween is still 3 1/2 weeks away. Thanksgiving is 7 weeks away, and Christmas is still 81 days from the time that I'm writing this. But that hasn't stopped the Christmas shopping displays from showing up across the shore.
