Earlier this week, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority moved to regulate a per-mile price for towing companies to charge Garden State drivers whose cars have broken down on the Turnpike or Parkway.
Two shore-based towing firms are among six in New Jersey paying just over $55,000 in penalties and reimbursements to settle allegations of violating the state's predatory towing law.
