No Property Tax Hike Says Governor Murphy to Fix School Aid Problems .... It appears a hike in property taxes in New Jersey to fix school aid problems won't be happening. Governor Murphy (according to a recent Patch article) vetoed a measure that would have allowed as many as 40 school districts in New Jersey to immediately raise taxes to make up for school funding losses.
