On the morning show we asked you the question "what have you hidden from your spouse" and we were expecting some pretty lighthearted answers. For example, I never tell my husband when I'm getting a pedicure. I just don't want to hear the "oh must be nice to treat yourself" routine so say I'm "doing errands" which is code for getting me time. The responses we got back from you were a lot deeper. One in particular drew me right in, a listener who will be known as "Anonymous in Brick" reached out to me with hers and it was way personal.

For reasons that we may never understand, college just doesn't fit every student. In those cases, what's a parent to do?

My sister has been bitten by the Etsy bug.  Do you know about that website?  It's an online marketplace for unique and crafty items that many regular stores don't carry.  In other words, it's a great place to get gifts for graduates.  She excitedly showed me some personalized gifts she ordered for her son's college graduation...

It's graduation season and we've been seeing footage of famous people giving commencement addresses.  The goal for the person at the podium is to share wisdom and inspiration that will prepare the grads for the real world.  People like Oprah, I'm sure, have a knack for those types of speeches...

When the news broke that First Daughter Malia Obama would be going to Harvard, the reports also mentioned her taking a "gap year" after she graduates high school.  A gap year is a break between the end of 12th grade and the start of Freshman year in college...
