Thinking about spring offering a fresh start and new beginning lifts me up from the winter doldrums. It seems a good time to start a new project, set a new goal, start or renew relationships. Just like the flowers are budding and blooming, I like to think that we can do the same this time of year. So what are you looking forward to this spring?
I've seen some crocuses coming out of the ground so I'm officially on "Team Spring!" What's your hunch? Do you think we're done with storms and can put away our shovels for the season?
If you're self-employed, you can probably take your laptop outside and do your work on the deck, right? Or if you're officially "on the clock" today but are allowed to telecommute, you can be productive yet take as much time outdoors as you like! Enjoy the nice mild temps today!
Since this week's forecast is giving us some April-like temperatures, I'm wondering what you're planning to do to celebrate. What have you been wanting to do but haven't been able to because of the winter weather? I'm looking forward to taking the dog out for a loooooong walk, the kind in which she can take in lots of sights and scents, and not just take care of business. A long walk will provide some good de-stressing and exercise for both of us so that's on the top of my list of things I want to do now that the weather's warmer. What's on your list?
Island Beach State Park is one of our great beauties here in Ocean County. The Summertime on Island Beach, is there anything better?
This is awesome thanks to the Friends of Island Beach State Park. And your donations always help.
As bummed as I was about waking up at 4:30 am with a mild case of insomnia, I was happy about one thing. I noticed the early birds were up already...presumably to catch the worms. They were singing in my back yard and it was a really nice sound...
