Garden State Democrats claim Governor Chris Christie did not present a plan to bring down New Jersey's highest in the nation property taxes during his budget address a few days ago, but Christie insists that's "nonsense."

In the wake of Superstorm Sandy, no one knows how much property taxes will go up, and where they'll rise, but state officials are not denying many residents in hard-hit areas will wind up footing at least part of the bill for the destruction caused by the hurricane.

Your property taxes are probably going to go up. That's the warning we're hearing from Governor Chris Christie and a slew of mayors who blame the cost of rebuilding and recovery in the aftermath of super-storm Sandy.

Last week, Chris Christie laid out his plan for the rest of the year. Now, the man who may run against him for Governor next year has done the same thing.

Governor Christie has announced his top five priorities for the rest of this year - getting a tax cut for state residents, abolishing sick leave payouts, expanding shared services, banning municipal user fees and passing ethics reform.

Middletown Township will be adding itself to the list of municipalities utilizing shared services with Monmouth County.
