pet peeves

That picture right there is one of those things that just drives me absolutely nuts.

Let me apologize right off of the bat - I'm going to go on a bit of a rant here and the topic is rather unappealing. But something has to be said...

It's only halfway into December, and not even officially winter yet, and we've already had a number of challenging travel days in Ocean County.

I am not having a great day today.

With the Garden State Parkway going right through the heart of Ocean County, driving is always a topic that we can discuss. (In fact, it's one that I've discussed plenty of times, especially one of my biggest pet peeves, "left lane camping").

It's happened to all of us, you have an appointment for, say, 10:30...politely, you show up a few minutes early to check in. You notice a number of people in the waiting room, which makes you nervous, then you hear those fateful words, "we're running just a little behind this morning, please have a seat".

As you've probably noticed by now, I love to complain about driving. I don't know what it is, maybe I do in fact have mild road rage, but few things get my blood pressure up like being annoyed in the car. That being said, we have some truly terrible intersections in Ocean County.

A couple of my friends have started discussions on Facebook today that got me thinking, what are the things that people do online that really drive you nuts? We'll take a look at a couple, then be sure to vote at the end of the article! ...

Ok, I admit it, I've been on a bit of a roll when it comes to ranting lately. But have you ever gone through those days where it just seems like everything is annoying you? Today it was the parking lot at my local "big box store".

I'll be the first to admit that I tend to rant a lot about cars here at wobm.com (especially after last week's article about "left lane campers"). Yesterday I was driving up to my mother's house on the Parkway and I feel like I saw everything; left lane campers, speeders, tailgaters, and the dreaded collection of rubberneckers.
