If you are looking for a great "historical" experience here at the Jersey Shore, then you must make a visit to historic Moore's Tavern & Restuarant in Freehold, Monmouth County.
According to Lakehurst the church was built circa 1874 by Irish immigrants who were working on the railroad and it’s the oldest , Roman Catholic, church in Ocean County.
For me this was going back to where it all began. What am I talking about? The birthplace of FM radio, my profession, which has roots right here in New Jersey! It’s the Armstrong Tower (pictured above) and it’s located in Alpine, New Jersey.

This article is all about “water towers”. Yes believe it or not I think there’s a visual history and art when it comes to the “water tower”. Historically you seem to find the older towers in more urban areas, the ones that go for less visual art and are more a piece of the cities history. I have including water towers from cities like New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, San Diego, Wilmington-DE, Dublin and right here in Ocean & Monmouth Counties.
